Sunset eyes- Great for all skin types!

My favorite time of day is just before sunset.  I never tire of watching the panorama of colors unfold as the sky changes from goldens and coppery reds to a deep hued inkiness.

Since this is my first ever makeup post, I decided to pay homage to my favorite time of day and attempt to create a look that mimicked the colors of a changing sky.  I hope you like it.  I think it'd look beautiful on all skin tones and be perfect for weddings, an evening out or just for fun!

Sorry for the different lighting in the photos, I kept adjusting the lighting as I tried to capture the finished look.  I will get better at this, I promise.

One more thing, you don't need to have the exact same products I used to create this particular look.  Dupes are fabulous and I highly recommend using them! I simply used what I had in my makeup stash.

Inglot# 464 (Any deep reddish brown shade will do)

Lips:

Lip stain: Armani Lip Maestro 501 (You can use a rosy brown lipstick as an alternative)
Lipgloss: Bobbi Brown Citrus (You can use any coral lipgloss instead)

10 easy steps to achieve the look:

1. Prep the skin: Moisturize and apply primer to help the foundation stay on longer.  If you have oily skin, you may want to skip the primer.

2. Apply foundation.

3. Conceal under eyes and any other blemishes.

4. Powder face and under eyes.

5. Apply highlighter, blush and bronzer.

6. Using a fine brush, apply Inglot#393 on the inner third of the eyelid, also apply on the inner third of the bottom lashline.

7. Using a flat shader brush, pat Inglot#403 and 15 across the middle and outer third of the eyelid, try to keep these below the crease. Also, use the tip of the shader brush to gently pat this color on the middle third of the lower lashline.

8. Using a small, fluffy brush, apply Inglot#464 on the outer V of the eyelid and using windshield wiper motions, gently swipe the color across the crease.  You want to gently buff away any harsh lines and make the colors appear softer.  Pat this color on the outer third of the lash line.  You should have three colors on your lower lash line at this point.  Gently buff to get rid of any harsh lines.

9.  Pick an eyeshadow close to your skintone or use the powder you used for your face and apply a very small amount along the bottom of your eyebrows.  This will highlight the eyes and lift them up.  Try to stick to a matte or satin color to avoid the dated disco ball look :)

10.  Curl lashes, apply mascara and line the upper and lower waterlines.

I completely forgot the lips.  Ok, so 11 steps instead of 10!

11. Blot lipstain on lips using fingers and top off with gloss.

Let me know if you tried this version or changed things up, I'd love to hear from you.

xoxo,
Batul
